Relentless Change Project

The Relentless Change Programme (RCP) is a 6 month youth work project aimed at young people aged 16-25 who have experienced homelessness, and/or other housing related issues. It is funded by National Lottery Community Fund.

The project is in partnership with a number of organisations including University Ulster and Housing Executive.

NIYF has secured funding for the project for at least the next 3 years (DEC 2017-DEC 2020). On completion of the project, RCP aims to filter young people on to a youth steering group which will advocate strategically on behalf of youth homelessness issues.RCP members meet 1-2 times per week to explore issues related to the following 5 pillars:

  • Personal and Social Development
  • Experiential Learning
  • One to One Support
  • Campaigning and Advocacy
  • University/Work Based Placements

Some of this work involves health and well-being programmes, group work and experiential learning opportunities. Also included in RCP is the CPD course (University Ulster experience) and work based placements.

Recruitment for the next cohort of young people will begin in August of 2019.
